On September 26, 2023 in the office of the Executive Board of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in the Republic of Kazakhstan there was a meeting with representatives of the program of the Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan “Roots and Grasses” on the implementation of social and environmental projects in the Aral Sea region. The head of the program Yuaro Ikenoe noted the importance of the work that EB IFAS in the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out on planting of saxaul and piloting of closed root system, besides, he expressed interest in continuation of the project on forest protection strip in Aralkum settlement.
